Scott provides building code compliance advice to clients and their design team throughout the project delivery process ranging from feasibility, design development and documentation, through to facilitating approvals, toward construction and final commissioning of buildings.
Possessing the highest level of building surveyor accreditation in Western Australia, Scott specialises in providing private building certification services and acting as the client representative in coordinating and facilitating necessary statutory approvals.
Fields of Expertise
Scott’s expertise is in technical advice on the National Construction Code, Building Act 2011 and the Building Regulations 2012. His building surveying experience spans 20 years across the Public and Private Sectors in Western Australia and the Northern Territory. The combination of his experience in both the public and private sector has Scott well placed to provide Building Surveying Services on all types of projects. The types of projects he has been involved with range from, but is not limited to: office buildings, shopping centres, health care facilities, public buildings, multiple level car parks, multiple storey residential buildings, restaurants and other food premises.
As a result of Scott’s experience in the public sector he has an intimate understanding of negotiating government building regulation process. In addition, Scott has participated in and represented at the State Administrative Tribunal in the review of building compliance orders and has acted as an expert witness for Building Regulatory matters before the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
